STEP 2: WALL SURFACE PREPARATION

The wall surface must be clean and even. Any holes must be filled prior to application. Wipe the wall and make sure the wall surface is clean, dry and free of debris. Plan your wall’s layout accordingly whether to install the panels from side to side, top to bottom, or from centre out. Measure the wall and draw marked lines according to the panel size.

STEP 4: BY USING A PERMANENT ADHESIVE

Please refer to tools preparation 1

To paste the 3d board wall panels on the wall, you might use the multi-functional glue or double sided tape. After apply a thin layer of adhesive onto the wall and on the back surface of the panels, leave it for few seconds till the adhesive appearing in half dry condition. Then paste the 3d board wall panel on the wall according to the marked line in Step 2. If you are using double sided tape, applying it at the surrounding of the board. Peel off the double sided tape plastic cover then paste it on the wall.

STEP 5(a): PLACE THE WALL PANELS by Installation WITH Joint Seams

For the DIY, we recommend this installation with joint seams. Leave some gaps between the panels and the size of the gaps is depends on your own favourite.

Repeat with step 4 for each units of the panels until the installation job finish. Remember to apply some force on each panels especially the corner part, so that it could attach to the wall tightly. Use a damp cloth to clean the excess adhesive.

STEP 5(b): PLACE THE WALL PANELS by Installation WITHOUT Joint Seams

If you plan to touch up the seams using joint compound on later stage, make sure all panels are placing close to the each another.

Repeat with step 4 for each units of the panels until the installation job finish. Remember to apply some force on each panels especially the corner part, so that it could attach to the wall tightly. Use a damp cloth to clean the excess adhesive.

STEP 6: FILLING THE SEAMS - Only for Installation WITHOUT Joint Seams on STEP 5(b)

A modular product will have seams. If you wish to minimize the seams, you could apply putty filler / paintable joint compound / paintable caulk to fill up the seams.

Before applying the joint compound, a layer of premier sealer is recommended to be applied to seal the 3D board wall panel surface. After applying and the filling material dry out, sand the seams with sand paper to make it smooth. Then, apply another layer of undercoat sealer paint before painting to get the best result.
