STEP 2: WALL SURFACE PREPARATION

The wall surface must be clean and even. Any holes must be filled prior to application. Wipe the wall and make sure the wall surface is clean, dry and free of debris. Plan your wall’s layout accordingly whether to install the panels from side to side, top to bottom, or from centre out. Measure the wall and draw marked lines according to the panel size.

STEP 3: 3D BOARD PANELS PREPARATION (IF NECESSARY)

If necessary for you to install panels on the area at the corner which the area is less than the panel size, measure the total size of the area, mark the total size on the back surface of panel with a pencil, then cut it with utility knife / handsaw / jig saw. Sand the cutting edge of the panels. Remember, measure twice and cut once.

4

STEP 5: PLACE THE WALL PANELS

Regardless of the adhesion and screw method, the panel go on the wall the same way. The initial panel that are positioned to be as straight as possible. Take extra care when placing these wall panel. Use a level meter to ensure proper alignment and take wall irregularities and other obstacles into account early on. The wall panel should be placed next to each other if desired, paying special attention to fitting them as close as possible to minimize the seams. Remember to apply some force on each panels especially the corner part, so that it could attach to the wall tightly. Use a damp cloth to clean the excess adhesive.

6

STEP 7: PRIMER AND FINAL SANDING

After all wall panel are up and the seams have been filled, apply a light coat of sandable dry wall primer/sealer. After the primer dries, we recommend a quick, light and gentle sanding over the entire wall. This will help ensure a smooth surface for painting by removing any foreign debris accrued on the panel during the installation process. Use a sand paper.

STEP 4: BY USING A PERMANENT ADHESIVE & SCREW

Please refer to tools preparation 1

For permanent installations, all commercial applications and tricky climatic conditions we recommend use of one of the above mentioned adhesives with screw. After apply a thin layer of adhesive onto the wall and on the back surface of the panels, leave it for few seconds till the adhesive appearing in half dry condition. Then paste the 3d board wall panel on the wall according to the marked line with a combination of screw. Pay close attention to the edges and ensure they are as close to 100% flat as possible. Take care in making sure the tiles are butted as tightly as possible to one another. This will help minimize seams.

5

STEP 6: FILLING GAPS

With a modular product, it is inevitable that you will have seams. If your wall is not completely straight, a tile is slightly out of position or you come to a corner where you have to cut a tile this situation may be exaggerated. These are easily addressed with paintable caulk or joint compound. Pay attention when using joint compound to manufacturers recommended temperature usage while wet. Minimize wiping as much as possible on tiles that have not been primed prior to going on the wall. Blot as much as possible and wipe excess when needed.

7

STEP 8: PAINTING

The panels are now ready to be painted. 3D board wall panel suits to any types of paint are available in the market. The panels also could be brushed, rolled, or sprayed with various types of paint. Painting a completed 3d board wall panel is the same as painting drywall.
